The shoulder is something we did historically from EZID days - we used the same prefix for Dataverse and ERA.  The shoulder doesn't need to be there - we know from the applications which DOI's belong in each application.  This is why our ERA DOI suffixes begin with r3.  For example https://doi.org/10.7939/R3DJ58M49.\n2025-03-27 - confirmed that the inactive prefixes (10.25336, 10.21432, 10.20361, 10.21991, 10.21225, 10.18740, 10.20360, 10.21971, 10.18733) were from a migration of publishing DOIs to Crossref.","clientType":"repository","repositoryType":[],"language":[],"certificate":[],"domains":"*","issn":{},"url":null,"software":null,"created":"2020-03-03T11:03:25.000Z","updated":"2025-03-27T22:20:12.000Z","subjects":[],"isActive":true},"relationships":{"provider":{"data":{"id":"ualberta","type":"providers"}},"prefixes":{"data":[{"id":"10.7939","type":"prefixes"}]}}},"meta":{"doiCount":94875,"prefixCount":1}}
