The study was guided by two research objectives, which were subsequently translated into two research questions and two null hypotheses. The study employed quasi-experimental design. Specifically, the study applied pre-test, post-test non- randomized, control group. The population of this study sampled randomly comprised of all SS II Biology students in public Senior Secondary Schools in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The sample size of the study was 102 senior secondary two (SS II) Biology students drawn through simple random sampling and purposive sampling procedure. The instruments used for data collection was Biology Interest Scale (BIS) developed by the researcher. The instrument was validated by three experts, two from Department of Science and Environmental Education and    a Biology teacher from the sampled school was selected to check the face validity, two qualified Biology teachers from the sampled school were selected to check the face validity while test blue print check the content validity. The reliability index of the Biology Interest Scale was determined using Cronbach Alpha which gave an index of 0.79. The data collected for this study were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions while the four hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance using ANCOVA. The results revealed that students taught Biology using Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning gain higher mean interest scores   than those taught using conventional method. There were no differences in the mean interest scores of both male and female students taught Biology using Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning. While the paper targets peculiar factors on democratic participation in Nigeria, the strategies provided adaptable to contexts and societies where democratic participation is on a decline, with public libraries playing central roles.\n\nKeywords: Democratic participation, Public Libraries"}],"geoLocations":[],"fundingReferences":[],"url":"https://zenodo.org/doi/10.5281/zenodo.21740693","contentUrl":null,"metadataVersion":0,"schemaVersion":"http://datacite.org/schema/kernel-4","source":"api","isActive":true,"state":"findable","reason":null,"viewCount":0,"downloadCount":0,"referenceCount":0,"citationCount":0,"partCount":0,"partOfCount":0,"versionCount":2,"versionOfCount":1,"created":"2026-08-01T15:26:40Z","registered":"2026-08-01T15:26:40Z","published":null,"updated":"2026-08-01T15:26:40Z"},"relationships":{"client":{"data":{"id":"cern.zenodo","type":"clients"}}}},{"id":"10.5281/zenodo.18519350","type":"dois","attributes":{"doi":"10.5281/zenodo.18519350","identifiers":[{"identifier":"https://www.hcsl.com/Tools/BayesianDiagnosticInsights/BayesianDiagnosticInsights.nb","identifierType":"URL"}],"creators":[{"nameType":"Personal","affiliation":["Hellenic Complex Systems Laboratory"],"givenName":"Theodora","familyName":"Chatzimichail","name":"Chatzimichail, Theodora","nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifierScheme":"ORCID","nameIdentifier":"0000-0001-6765-8454"}]},{"nameType":"Personal","affiliation":["Hellenic Complex Systems Laboratory"],"givenName":"Aristides T.","familyName":"Hatjimihail","name":"Hatjimihail, Aristides T.","nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifierScheme":"ORCID","nameIdentifier":"0000-0002-0502-7996"}]}],"titles":[{"title":"Bayesian Diagnostic Insights: A Software Tool for Applying Bayes' Theorem in Medical Diagnostics"}],"publisher":"Hellenic Complex Systems Laboratory","container":{},"publicationYear":2024,"subjects":[{"subject":"Bayes Theorem","subjectScheme":"MeSH"},{"subject":"Diagnosis","subjectScheme":"MeSH"}],"contributors":[],"dates":[{"date":"2024-06-10","dateType":"Issued"},{"date":"2026-08-01","dateType":"Updated"}],"language":"en","types":{"schemaOrg":"SoftwareSourceCode","resourceTypeGeneral":"ComputationalNotebook","citeproc":"article","bibtex":"misc","ris":"COMP","resourceType":""},"relatedIdentifiers":[{"relationType":"IsDocumentedBy","resourceTypeGeneral":"Text","relatedIdentifier":"10.5281/zenodo.21740613","relatedIdentifierType":"DOI"},{"relationType":"IsPublishedIn","resourceTypeGeneral":"JournalArticle","relatedIdentifier":"10.3390/diagnostics14040402","relatedIdentifierType":"DOI"},{"relationType":"IsVersionOf","relatedIdentifier":"10.5281/zenodo.18519350","relatedIdentifierType":"DOI"}],"relatedItems":[],"sizes":[],"formats":[],"version":"2.2.3","rightsList":[{"rightsUri":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/","rights":"Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License"}],"descriptions":[{"descriptionType":"Abstract","description":"This software tool is a specialized program developed in Wolfram Language for the parametric estimation, visualization, and comparison of Bayesian diagnostic measures and their uncertainty. The study allowed characterization of the hydrazone-diazenic tautomeric equilibrium as a function of the electronic nature of the para substituents: electron-donating groups (-CH₃, -OCH₃) favor the diazenic form, while the electron-withdrawing substituent (-NO₂) exclusively stabilizes the hydrazonic form. It was also shown that the strong electron-withdrawing character of the -CF₃ group induces a polarity inversion (umpolung) at the imine carbon, directing the reaction toward a Carba-Michael-type attack, whereas in the presence of the -CH₃ group the reaction proceeds via an Aza-Michael pathway. Sparse retrieval ensures high coverage, dense retrieval provides semantic matching ability, and dynamic weight allocation is introduced during re-ranking to balance the importance of evidence from different sources. An end-to-end optimization objective is constructed that jointly constrains ranking relevance and generation consistency, enabling retrieval and generation to be improved in coordination. The framework is systematically evaluated across hyperparameters, environment, and data sensitivities, covering candidate size, caching strategy, domain transfer, label sparsity, and feedback noise. Results show that the proposed method outperforms existing approaches across multiple metrics, maintaining stable advantages in candidate relevance, recall rate, and semantic consistency of generation. This study demonstrates that dual-path fusion and adaptive re-ranking effectively mitigate the conflict between coverage and precision in complex retrieval environments and provide new ideas and methods for building robust RAG systems."}],"geoLocations":[],"fundingReferences":[],"url":"https://zenodo.org/doi/10.5281/zenodo.21737392","contentUrl":null,"metadataVersion":0,"schemaVersion":"http://datacite.org/schema/kernel-4","source":"api","isActive":true,"state":"findable","reason":null,"viewCount":0,"downloadCount":0,"referenceCount":0,"citationCount":0,"partCount":0,"partOfCount":0,"versionCount":0,"versionOfCount":0,"created":"2026-08-01T09:00:23Z","registered":"2026-08-01T09:00:23Z","published":null,"updated":"2026-08-01T09:00:23Z"},"relationships":{"client":{"data":{"id":"cern.zenodo","type":"clients"}}}}],"meta":{"total":1374317,"totalPages":400,"page":1},"links":{"self":"https://api.datacite.org/dois?client-id=cern.zenodo\u0026query=publicationYear%3A2024","next":"https://api.datacite.org/dois?client-id=cern.zenodo\u0026page%5Bnumber%5D=2\u0026page%5Bsize%5D=25\u0026query=publicationYear%3A2024"}}
