DO - 10.3334/ORNLDAAC/1595 UR - https://daac.ornl.gov/cgi-bin/dsviewer.pl?ds_id=1595 AB - This dataset provides the results of field observations of soil characteristics and depth to permafrost, survey results for Composite Burn Index (CBI) determination, and Landsat-derived estimates of Relative Difference Normalized Burn Ratio (RdNBR) for 38 burned and unburned forest sites near Tanana, Alaska in 2017. Forests in the study area, at the confluence of the Yukon and Tanana Rivers about 200 km west of Fairbanks, are predominately black spruce on wetter soils and white spruce on drier soils.
