DANA is the seismic array deployment of the FaultLab project, based at University of Leeds, in collaboration with the Kandilli Observatory and Sakarya University, and with UK Natural Environment Research Council as the principal sponsor. The DANA array is deployed for 18 months, recording continuously at 50 sps with a dense station spacing: 7 km, and the aim of producing scattered wave images of the lower crust beneath the North Anatolian Fault in the region where it ruptured to produce the disastrous Izmit earthquake in 1999.
