Dataset: Federal funds rate: rate charged by a depository institution on an overnight loan of federal funds to another depository institution; rate may vary from day to day and from bank to bank. The daily effective federal funds rate is a weighted average of rates on brokered trades. Weekly figures are averages of 7 calendar days ending on Wednesday of the current week; monthly figures include each calendar day in the month. Annual figures are annualized using a 360-day year or bank interest.
Data are from Federal Reserve Statistical Release H.15. The H.15 release contains daily interest rates for selected U.S. Treasury and private money market and capital market instruments. It is published weekly.
