Moisture Transport in Flat Roofs with Perforated Vapour Barriers
8th Symposium on Building Physics in the Nordic Countries
2008
2008
In European Standards EN 15026 and EN ISO 13788 the moisture transport in a building envelope is assumed only as one dimensional transport. In fact three-dimensional moisture transport is occurred due to layer perforation or building details. The paper is focused on cases of flat roofs when a vapour barrier is perforated. The sd-value measurement of different vapour barriers with different degree of perforation has been done by the Wet-Cup method. The results of the measurement bring a new view on a design of flat roofs. At the end of the paper we discussed new recommendations for architects how to design more efficiently flat roofs.
