Low light video often has inherent features such as low brightness and acquisition noise, which not only disturb the subjective perception of the viewer, but also for traditional video compression methods, it may not be a suitable choice for compressing low light scene. So we need combining the characteristics of the dark scene to analyze and study the compression scheme. In fact, we dehazed the original dark scene firstly and then send it to encoder for compression. The experimental results show that this method improves the perceptual quality of the compressed dark scene video to a certain degree.
