Children's Academic Orientation Scale
Jirout, Jamie
University of Virginia
2020
Self-report measure of children's academic orientations, including feelings about their teacher and peers, school enjoyment, growth mindset, curiosity, and perceived academic competence (self-efficacy). Items are given for multiple versions, with some subscales not included in some versions. One version has published psychometrics reported for preschool-age children, with these analyses supporting revisions to the subsequent versions. The measure has been administered by trained proctors, one-on-one with children, see preschool article for procedures. Full lists of all items for all versions will be posted.
