This Carnegie Mellon University dataset contains Zigbee packets that were captured using a software-defined radio (USRP N210). More specifically, the contributors used GNU Radio with the gr-ieee802-15-4 and gr-foo modules to receive IEEE 802.15.4 packets and store them in PCAP format. The captured network traffic was generated from ten commercial Zigbee devices that can be found in smart home environments. Eight experiments were conducted that differed in the smart hub that was used and the physical topology of the devices. These experiments took place on the Silicon Valley campus of Carnegie Mellon University in order to analyze the security of Zigbee-enabled smart homes. The experiments lasted about 34.644 hours in total and resulted in the logging of 571,509 valid packets. More details about the procedure that was followed and the setup of each experiment are included in the dataset, along with the encryption keys that were used in order to facilitate packet analysis.
